Solid carbide, brazed and HSSE reamers

Written by SAU Team | May 8, 2025 11:58:33 AM

What are the differences between reamers and boring bars?

The difference between boring bar and reamer is that the boring bar corrects the cylindrical shape of the hole while the reamer improves and further perfects this cylindrical shape, thanks to its multi cutting edges which speed up and optimize processing.

When a tight tolerance is required in the specific machining, the reamer is the ideal solution compared to the boring bar.
The reamer also increases tool life compared to the boring bar.

What are the types of Reamers?
-    Solid carbide Reamers
-    Brazed Reamers
-    HSSE Cobalt Rapid Steel Reamers

Features of the Solid carbide reamers Sau SAN..

The Sau solid carbide reamers are differentiated in 3 working lengths, starting from a diameter of less than 3 mm to greater than 20 mm.
Each length has 2 ranges, decimal and centesimal one.

Normally they are not coated, but for special processes and on request Sau is able to provide specific coating according to customer requirements.
The Integral Carbide Reamer is definitely the top of the range, with important performance, great durability in time, it increases processing speed and it saves time and money.

Applications and Materials processed Solid carbide reamers SAN..

The solid carbide reamers are suitable for processing all materials with excellent performance.

Fields of application Solid carbide reamers SAN..

The solid carbide reamer is used in all fields and sectors of precision machining, ranging from automotive to agricultural machinery, earth handling, automation and in general, from biomedical to food.

Characteristics of brazed reamers SAN..

The Sau brazed Reamers are 2 working lengths, starting from a diameter less than 6 up to a diameter greater than 25.
Each length has 2 ranges, decimal and centesimal, without coating.
The Brazed reamer offers good performance at a limited cost, especially on large diameters, above 16 in diameter with an excellent value for money.

Applications and processed materials brazed reamers SAN..

Brazed Reamers are suitable for the processing of all materials with excellent performance.

Sectors of use brazed Reamers SAN..

The brazed Reamer, as for other Reamers, is used in all fields and sectors of precision machining, ranging from automotive to agricultural machinery, earth handling, automation and in general, from biomedical to food.

Features HSSE Cobalt High Speed Steel Reamers SAN02..

The HSSE Cobalt-Sau high speed steel reamers have a working length ranging from a diameter of less than 1 up to a diameter greater than 35, decimal and centesimal
Normally they are not coated, but for special processes and on request Sau is able to provide specific coating according to customer requirements.

HSSE Cobalt Steel Rapid reamers are less expensive but also less durable and with more contained processing parameters.

Applications and Materials processed HSSE Cobalt High-Speed Steel reamers SAN02..

The HSSE cobalt steel quick-release reamers from Sau are suitable for processing all materials with excellent performance.

Fields of application HSSE Cobalt High-Speed Steel Reamers SAN02..

The Sau HSSE cobalt steel quick-release reamer, as for other reamers, is used in all fields and sectors of precision machining, ranging from automotive to agricultural machinery, earth handling, automation and in general, from biomedicine to food.

How to use

All the reamers have a cylindrical connection, used with the Din 6499 Sau clamp with radial oscillation art. 235...  allow to have excellent results.
Even more efficient if you use the floating spindle Reamers that have characteristics of optimal applications art. 361...
These gripping systems facilitate processing and achieve excellent results with ease of execution.
